Mush Records is an independent record label that has released albums for many independent artists and was started by Robert Curcio and Cindy Roché.[1] Mush Records is an electronic based record label. Mush puts out a wide range of electronic music, including "electronic instrumental, underground hip-hop, downtempo, abstract hip-hop, experimental, indie-rock, jazz-based grooves, turntablist compositions, electronic pop, [and] saturated folk". [2] Mush operates a store online to facilitate direct sales of Mush Records releases and merchandise.[2] Dirty Loop Music is home to the independent record label Mush Records. Dirty Loop Music originally started out as a recording studio in Cincinnati, OH. The actual record label was formed in 1997 as an outlet to release some music that was being made in the studio. Since then Mush has been located in Cincinnati, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and has now settled in Los Angeles.[3]

In 2003, the label sponsored a tour which included its roster artists Busdriver, Awol One, Radioinactive, Aceyalone, and others.[4]
