Techno bass is a genre of electro music that is heavily influenced by Miami bass and Detroit techno. It frequently includes themes about technology, sensuality and futurism. It is the result of a fusion between old-school electro and the influence of techno in the late 1980s and 1990s. Pioneers of this style of music are Dynamix II, DJ K-1, and Aux 88.[citation needed]
