From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Welcome. السلام عليكم. שלום עליכם.
I'm a pension actuary. I live in Washington, D.C., but I'm originally from New York City and I'll probably always think of myself as a New Yorker.
I'm "named" after El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz, better known as Malcolm X, whose life and words inspire me. I'm not related to or associated with Malik Zulu Shabazz of the so-called New Black Panther Party, except that we both chose our names in honor of El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz.
Despite my social and political views, some of which are expressed below, I am committed to maintaining a neutral point of view in the articles I edit. If you think that my editing is biased, please let me know.
Note: Any "facts" shown on this page are for information purposes only. They aren't intended to establish any "credentials" or "expertise." The philosophy of Wikipedia is that it is an encyclopedia that anybody can edit.

| Inspirations |
If I weren't out here every day battling the white man, I could spend the rest of my life reading, just satisfying my curiosity — because you can hardly mention anything I'm not curious about. — The Autobiography of Malcolm X, Malcolm X

To-day is the parent of to-morrow. The present casts its shadow far into the future. That is the law of life, individual and social. Revolution that divests itself of ethical values thereby lays the foundation of injustice, deceit, and oppression for the future society. The means used to prepare the future become its cornerstone. — My Further Disillusionment in Russia, Emma Goldman

|
We must learn to respect the humanity of our fellow-man, not to invade him or coerce him, to consider his liberty as sacred as our own; to respect his freedom and his personality, to foreswear compulsion in any form: to understand that the cure for the evils of liberty is more liberty, that liberty is the mother of order. — Now and After, Alexander Berkman
|
If it is deemed necessary that I should forfeit my life for the furtherance of the ends of justice, and mingle my blood further with the blood of my children and with the blood of millions in this slave country whose rights are disregarded by wicked, cruel, and unjust enactments — I submit; so let it be done! — John Brown's Speech to the Court at his Trial, John Brown
