Hi, my name is Michael Bimmler and I've been a Wikipedian since April 2004. While I started on the German Wikipedia, I soon began to be interested in the English Wikipedia as well and I consider myself now member of both communities. Unfortunately, my time for substantial edits (or indeed, any edits) is very limited at the moment, but I spend quite some time in doing background work, both in the wider Wikimedia movement and in OTRS, which is why you'll often see my editing Biographies of living persons.
I'm currently president of Wikimedia CH, the Swiss chapter of the Wikimedia Foundation, and in this role I try to promote the Wikimedia projects in Switzerland through various means. I am also a member of the Wikimedia Foundation's Chapters Committee and enjoy working together with chapters-in-creation and newly formed chapters to advise and support them.
On a personal level, having graduated from the Literargymnasium Rämibühl in Zurich with the International Baccalaureate and the Swiss Matura, I am now working as an intern with the Global Humanitarian Forum (Geneva) as part of a gap year. This year will also see me move to Vancouver later and I'll end the year (and start the next few years) in Merton College, Oxford.
If I was asked to list my interests, this would be a rather long list, but a good start would be: music, movies, literature, history, politics, international relations, law (especially international public law, constitutional law and human rights law) as well as philosophy/neurophilosophy/neurosciences.
